Frank's Classic Rachel recipe and Ingredients
2 slices rye bread
¼ pound pastrami-style turkey
¼ Frank’s Kraut, drained
2 tablespoons coleslaw mix
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 tablespoons thousand island dressing
2 slices swiss cheese
2 tablespoons butter
- Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add in turkey to heat through.
- While turkey is heating through, butter the outside of each slice of bread and mix together kraut, coleslaw mix, mayonnaise and thousand island dressing. Remove warmed turkey from pan and set aside.
- Place one piece of bread, buttered side down, in skillet. Top with a slice of swiss cheese and warmed turkey, followed by second slices of cheese and bread, buttered side up.
- Toast sandwich on both sides, like a grilled cheese. Fill the inside with kraut and slaw mixture.
- Serve and enjoy!
