Flying Dutchman Reuben

Yields 1 Burger


1 Extra large sweet onion
4 oz Thinly sliced corned beef
2 oz Frank’s Kraut
Slice of Swiss cheese
2 Tablespoons thousand island
Salt to taste
Canola oil


  1. Slice Two 1/4” slices of onion from the center of your sweet onion.
  2. Brush each onion with a thin layer of oil and season with salt.
  3. Fry onions on medium high heat for 3-5 minutes per side being careful to keep all of the layers together.
  4. Once onions are browned and tender, carefully set aside.
  5. Heat your corned beef in the pan and add slice of Swiss cheese on top.
  6. When corned beef is hot and cheese is melted, build your Reuben with onion slices as buns.
  7. Add Frank’s Kraut and Thousand island.
  8. Grab a stack of napkins and enjoy!
