
Sweet and Sour Bavarian Kraut Salad

Ingredients
1 ½ -2 cans Frank’s Sweet Bavarian Style Kraut, drained but not rinsed
½ large bell pepper, diced (any color will work)
1 large carrot, diced
2 large celery stalks, diced
½ medium sweet onion, diced
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. sugar
¼ cup olive oil (any neutral oil will work)
2-3 tbsp. white vinegar
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the kraut, bell pepper, carrot, celery, onion, celery seed, and sugar. Mix well and let sit on the counter for 15 minutes.
- Next, add the olive oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. This can be eaten right away or covered and stored in the refrigerator until ready to eat. This will become more flavorful, and the vegetables will become softer the longer you let it set.
