Krauted Cheese Steaks
1-pound left over beef roast, thinly sliced
8 slices provolone cheese
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
2 medium green bell peppers, sliced
1 cup Frank’s Kraut, drained
4 sub/hoagie rolls, sliced down the middle and toasted
Whole grain mustard, to taste (optional)
- In a medium skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, peppers and Frank’s Kraut, and sauté until onions become translucent. Top with cheese and let melt.
- In another skillet, heat beef roast through.
- If using, spread mustard onto toasted buns. Layer on warmed beef, onion, pepper and kraut mixture, topped with melted cheese and enjoy!
