Krauted Cheese Steaks

Yields 4 sandwiches

Ingredients

1-pound left over beef roast, thinly sliced
8 slices provolone cheese
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
2 medium green bell peppers, sliced
1 cup Frank’s Kraut, drained
4 sub/hoagie rolls, sliced down the middle and toasted
Whole grain mustard, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, peppers and Frank’s Kraut, and sauté until onions become translucent. Top with cheese and let melt.
  2. In another skillet, heat beef roast through.
  3. If using, spread mustard onto toasted buns. Layer on warmed beef, onion, pepper and kraut mixture, topped with melted cheese and enjoy!
